UNL seeks a Career and Internship Specialist. “The Career and Internship Specialist will serve students in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts to increase their preparation and awareness of quality internships and post-graduation opportunities. The Career and Internship Specialist will build and maintain relationships with students, faculty, employers and alumni to develop internship and career opportunities for students. They will help facilitate students’ self-exploration and guide and support students in identifying and applying for opportunities through direct interaction with students in 1-1 coaching sessions, classroom, and student organization presentations. The Career and Internship Specialist will help students develop the ability to articulate their skills and qualifications through their resumes, cover letters, graduate applications, and interviews. They will be responsible for developing and coordinating programs and initiatives tailored toward college-specific career development needs. The Career and Internship Specialist will collaborate with faculty in the College to help inform and guide this work and collaborate with University Career Services and the UNL campus career community to support university-wide career development activities and events.”
