Dr. Nutt has over 30 years of experience in education at the secondary and post secondary levels. He has served as English faculty and administrator at the community college level for 15 years, working primarily in the areas of student support and student success with particular focus on academic advising and student retention programs. Since 2002, Dr. Nutt has been the Associate Director of the National Academic Advising Association and has served on the graduate faculty in the College of Education at Kansas State University. Dr. Nutt has written extensively in the area of academic advising and has presented at various state, regional, and national conferences. In addition, he serves as a consultant for NACADA to institutions in the areas of developing effective advising programs, advisor development, and student retention. He is a member of the National Academic Advising Association, the American College Personnel Association, the National Council for Student Development, and the American Association of Community Colleges.
