The Department of Athletics at the University of Arkansas is now accepting applications for the position of Academic Counselor. Under the direction of the Associate Athletic Director for Academics and Director of Academics, the Academic Counselor will monitor academic progress of student-athletes in compliance with NCAA, Southeastern Conference and the University of Arkansas rules and regulations. The Academic Counselor will work with coaches, staff and professors to foster an atmosphere that retains student-athletes and culminates in graduation from the University while supervising a graduate assistant. Duties will include advising and building relationships with a diverse student-athlete population, coordinating graduation plans, facilitating personal development programming, assisting with career development, monitoring continuing eligibility including APR, and other assigned projects.
