Counselor – First-Year Advising Center 

Utah Valley University (UVU) First-Year Advising Center seeks two individuals to serve as academic advisors to an assigned caseload of first-year college students. These individuals will counsel and advise new, prospective, and transfer students in all aspects of university-wide academic programs, student development, and career planning.

Successful candidates will manage a student caseload using predictive analytics and proactive outreach to improve retention. The duties of this role include explaining policies, making referrals, maintaining records, interpreting test scores, addressing academic standards issues, coordinating academic issues with faculty and staff, and attending meetings as assigned.
