Lydia E. Skeen Graduate Research Assistant Position
The College of Education is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic graduate student to join our research team, headed by Linda Thurston, Lydia E. Skeen endowed chair in education and assistant dean for research and graduate studies.
Available immediately, 20 hours weekly, 10 month position. Compensation includes bi-weekly salary, eligible for group health insurance, and paid tuition.
Qualifications
Graduate student in good standing in a College of Education program; excellent oral and written English language skills; knowledge and experience in conducting research, including analyzing qualitative and quantitative data; experience in complex library research and writing literature reviews for research papers or grant proposals; technical skills in a Mac environment; outstanding work ethic and collaboration skills; and willingness to learn new professional competencies. Expertise in SPSS and survey construction using Qualtrics are desired.
Expectations
Our new research team member must be interested in developing such professional skills as writing grant proposals, conducting research, and preparing manuscripts for publication. The person who fills this position will work with OAD staff and with COE faculty and administrators in developing grant proposals and collecting and analyzing data for research studies.
