Scholarships Awarded to Academic Advising Students

Kansas State University Global Campus has awarded $34,650 in scholarships to distance students across North America for the fall 2015 semester. Recipients included three Master in Academic Advising students.

  • Christopher Boxberger – Global Campus scholarship
  • Erica Grant – College of Education scholarship
  • Stephen Watts – College of Education scholarship

These scholarships assist distance education students in achieving their educational goals by providing financial support to complete their degrees. Scholarships awarded are the K-State Global Campus Scholarship for Distance Education Students, the Maurine Allison O’Bannon Memorial Scholarship, the Allan D. Sicat Scholarship, and other scholarships in collaboration with the university’s colleges or departments.

“Financial support through scholarship assistance can often be the determining factor for distance students in completing their degree in a timely manner,” said Duane Dunn, associate dean of K-State Global Campus. “That timely completion in turn results in improved career opportunities and increases the student’s ability to contribute to K-State scholarship programs in the future.”

K-State Global Campus offers scholarship opportunities year-round. Applications for spring 2016 scholarships are due Nov. 2. For more information and to apply, visit the K-State Global Campus scholarship website at http://global.k-state.edu/students/services/scholarships/.
