iSIS being renamed KSIS

By Ken Stafford, chief information officer

K-State’s iSIS system has been renamed to KSIS, K-State Student Information System. While iSIS was named many years ago, the change is being made because of the many concerns expressed over the current name and its link to a terrorist network. We have checked with our peers and many other universities using the term iSIS also are changing the name.

The K-State Student Information System, KSIS, is now the official name of our student system. There are many tasks involved in renaming, including all of the reports, Web pages, forms and marketing materials, which will take considerable time and effort. We appreciate your patience as these changes occur.

Please make a note of the name change. I will be updating all the Academic Advising Graduate Program materials to reflect the change from iSIS to KSIS.
