The College of Education at Kansas State University is looking for an Academic Advisor.
Twelve-month position starting January 5, 2015.
Salary $32,000 – $34,000
Duties will include advising students regarding educational issues and assessing student needs to assist with exploring academic options and creating graduation plans that meet individual needs, interests, and goals: other duties include promoting teaching as a career, teaching, a strong commitment to advancing the Center for Student and Professional Services (CSPS) to national prominence, and other related duties.
- MA/MS required by start date with preference in school counseling, student personnel services, or those with an academic advising degree/certificate
- Proficiency in communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups and individuals
- Experience in K-12 teaching and/or higher education
- Knowledge of statistics and computers
