Need help on a paper? The Writing Center is here to provide web-based services to all distance education students! No matter where you live in the world, you can access the Writing Center website and online scheduling system to make an appointment to consult with a trained peer tutor about your writing projects.
The Writing Center in the English department welcomes active discussions with student writers from all disciplines and experience levels across the K-State community. In one-to-one consultations, undergraduate and graduate students can receive feedback from trained peer tutors, who provide revision suggestions and questions for projects in any stage of the writing process.
The Writing Center’s online scheduling system allows distance education students to request two different types of online services:
· Online Written Feedback (eTutoring) — submit your paper online on the appointment system with specific questions you have about your writing, and receive a written response from a tutor within 2 business days of submission. They can look over a maximum of 8 pages of writing.
· Online Video/Audio or Chat Sessions — meet with a tutor online to talk about your writing project. Note: for video/audio conferences, you must have a microphone and camera connected to your computer. If you do not have a microphone and camera, you can still have a real-time appointment with the tutor using the chat feature.
