Ten Academic Advising Students Receive Scholarships

Kansas State University’s Division of Continuing Education awards scholarships to distance students each semester. For spring 2014, ten* students in the master’s in academic advising program received scholarships of $1,200.

Scholarships offered through the Division of Continuing Education are the following:

  • Division of Continuing Education Scholarship for Distance Education Students
    Awarded to students accepted into a Kansas State University undergraduate or graduate degree program offered through the Division of Continuing Education.
  • Maurine Allison O’Bannon Memorial Scholarship
    Awarded to students 25 years of age or older that are returning to school after a lapse in his/her education. The student must be accepted into a Kansas State University undergraduate or graduate degree program offered through the Division of Continuing Education.
  • Allan D. Sicat Scholarship
    Awarded to military veterans or active duty military seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree through a distance education program at Kansas State University.

The deadline to apply for summer and fall scholarships is April 1, 2014. The scholarship application will be available in mid February 2014. Application guidelines and further information on these scholarships and others can be found at http://www.dce.k-state.edu/students/services/financial-aid.
