The College of Education Student Affairs Committee invites you to participate
in 26 Random Acts of Kindness in honor of the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary.
Here are some ideas to get you started …
- Compliment a stranger
- Give up your seat for someone
- Volunteer – anywhere – even if you only have a short time
- Be polite online
- Hold the door open for someone
- Write a letter to someone who made a difference
- Let someone go in front of you in line
- Clean up after yourself
- Share a snack
- Smile at others
- Help someone load or unload groceries
- Pay the tab for the person behind you
- Thank your parents
- Lend something to someone – then tell them to keep it
- Leave extra money in a vending machine
- Help someone with yardwork
- Be polite on the road
- Bake cookies for a neighbor you’ve never met
- Donate used books to a library
- Give someone a hug
- Pick up trash
- Be a designated driver
- Be kind to someone you dislike
- Leave a “You’re awesome” note on someone’s desk
- Be a friend who listens
- Read to a child
