Several academic advising graduate students were awarded scholarships for spring 2013. Angela Giancaterino received $1,000 from the Maurine Allison O’Bannon Memorial Scholarship. The purpose of this scholarship is to perpetuate the memory of Maurine Allison O’Bannon at Kansas State University. This legacy provides $1,000 to undergraduates and to graduate students who are degree seeking at K-State and enrolled in Division of Continuing Education courses. The student must be 25 years of age or older, and returning to school after a lapse in his/her education.
The Kansas State University Division of Continuing Education Scholarship for Distance Education Students was awarded to Kerri Langdon, Karyn Raney, Kyra Thornburg and Tiffany Weight. All four students are enrolled in the academic advising graduate program. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to distance education students admitted and properly enrolled in Kansas State University distance education degree programs through the Division of Continuing Education. Scholarships are provided in the amount of $900 for undergraduate and $1,200 for graduate students.
